Marketing Manager - Events & Academy

The Marketing Manager - Events & Academy position at Marketing AI Institute is an entry-level marketing role. We are seeking a marketer with a natural curiosity and interest in the impact of artificial intelligence on marketing. 

As Marketing Manager - Events & Academy, you will be working closely with the Chief Growth Officer and Chief Content Officer to support several key campaigns, including promotions of our annual conference MAICON (Marketing AI Conference), virtual conferences, team speaking appearances, and our AI Academy for Marketers online education program.

The ideal candidate will be willing to use and experiment with new technologies in order to improve impact and performance. We’re looking for someone who thinks AI-first when it comes to their daily responsibilities, but who also knows when it’s important to step back and be more human.  

Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of the Chief Growth Officer and the Chief Content Officer to support event, education and community building activities. 
  • Commit to continuous learning—be a regular consumer of information on marketing and AI trends and technologies. Willingly apply learnings and new technologies (as relevant) to your daily processes.
  • Execute marketing tactics that support campaign objectives across search, social, content, PR, email, analytics, web, video, and design. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 
    • Produce promotional creative and assets for upcoming events and AI Academy for Marketers courses. 
    • Write and schedule social content; create accompanying graphics; and perform social listening. 
    • Engage with Slack community members.
    • Perform outreach, contracting, and relationship management of new and existing media partners for our events. 
    • Research, write and upload event- and Academy-related content to the Marketing AI Institute blog.
    • Support with the writing, uploading, and scheduling of marketing emails and customer emails.
    • Support with the buildout of our event management platform leading up to our virtual events. 
    • Own the uploading of new Academy course content into our learning management system. 
    • Customer support for members of our AI Academy for Marketers. 
    • Project management for Marketing AI Institute team members’ speaking engagements, including but not limited to: coordinating dates/times, travel, book orders and asset collection. 
    • Maintain marketing reports related to event and AI Academy for Marketers campaigns.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the technologies used to run campaigns, and be an active tester of new AI-powered tools that could result in greater efficiencies or performance.
  • Deliver high-quality work on deadline, while working within a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Passion for AI and technology. Understanding of the AI technology landscape, and its opportunities and risks. 
  • Strong research, writing (technical and creative), and editing skills.
  • Basic to intermediate design and video editing skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience working in HubSpot.
  • Experience in AI-powered technologies for writing, design, ad management, personalization, etc. is a plus.
  • Experience in Descript, Thinkific, Google Analytics, Canva, Aventri, and Asana is a plus.
  • Strategic thinker who can understand how their actions tie to the company’s overall business objectives and goals, and make decisions accordingly.
  • Team player who is reliable, detailed, focused, and accountable, and who brings positive energy every day.

As Marketing Manager - Media & Content, you will  work closely with our Chief Growth Officer and Chief Content Officer to support several key campaigns, including our podcast, webinars, blog, social media and premium content.

Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of the Chief Growth Officer and the Chief Content Officer to support awareness and lead generation campaigns.
  • Commit to continuous learning—be a regular consumer of information on marketing and AI trends and technologies. Willingly apply learnings and new technologies (as relevant) to your daily processes.
  • Execute marketing tactics that support campaign objectives across search, social, content, PR, email, analytics, web, video, and design. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 
    • Project management, production and promotion support for our weekly podcast, The Marketing AI Show.
    • Project management and production support for webinars.
    • Project management and production support for premium content such as research reports and ebooks. 
    • Write and schedule social content; create accompanying graphics; and perform social listening.
    • Research, write and upload select content to the Marketing AI Institute blog.
    • Support with the writing, uploading, and scheduling of marketing emails and our weekly email newsletter.
    • Manage paid media across Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
    • Maintain marketing reports related to media and content campaigns,  and own lead-sharing delivery to Institute partners.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the technologies used to run campaigns, and be an active tester of new AI-powered tools that could result in greater efficiencies or performance.
  • Deliver high-quality work on deadline, while working within a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications:
