5 Ways to Contribute to the Marketing AI Institute Blog

Written by Paul Roetzer | Oct 6, 2020 4:04:00 AM

Marketing Artificial Intelligence Institute launched in November 2016 with the mission to make AI approachable and actionable for marketers.

The Institute reaches and influences marketing leaders with 22,000+ website visitors per month (+46% YOY), and 23,000+ opt-in contacts (+70% YOY).

Our inaugural Marketing AI Conference (MAICON) in July 2019 drew 300+ attendees from 12 countries and 28 states, and our 2021 virtual event kept our community learning and growing. The Institute also helps marketers understand, pilot and scale AI through AI Academy for Marketers, our growing online education platform and community.

It Takes a Community to Create a Movement

Since the Institute's creation, our team of internal writers has published 600+ articles. But, AI is a complex web of issues and opportunities. It requires a diverse set of experiences, insights and points of view to tell the full story.

We want to inform the marketers who demand smarter (i.e. AI-powered) technologies to drive efficiency and revenue in their organizations.

At the same time, we want marketers to use AI for good, to always consider the need for personalization without invasion of privacy, and intelligent automation without dehumanization of their stakeholders. More Intelligent. More Human.

And, so, we turn to you, our forward-thinking community of marketers, executives, educators, authors, analysts, speakers and leaders.

If you have knowledge, experiences and opinions that will help enrich our audience’s minds and expand their AI understanding and capabilities, then we want to give you the platform to connect and share with them.

We look forward to working with others in our quest to make marketing more intelligent, and more human. See below for ways to collaborate.

Want to Engage with the Institute Community? Here’s How.

1. Submit a by-lined article.

We now accept by-lined articles for our Marketing AI Institute blog on a very selective basis. Articles must be original content (not previously published elsewhere), objective in nature and display a high level of expertise for the topic at hand.

We are specifically interested in expert insight and actionable articles related to AI in these areas:

  • Categories: Advertising, Analytics, Communications, Content Marketing, Conversational, Data Management, Email Marketing, Sales, SEO and Social Media Marketing
  • Industries: Finance, Health Care, Insurance, Manufacturing, Retail
  • Business of AI: Bias, Compliance, Culture, Ethics, Humanization of Brands, Jobs, Organizational Charts, Digital Transformation, Privacy

View our blogging guidelines for tips to maximize the chances of getting published, and submit your draft here. Note that only completed drafts will be considered—not pitches. You will hear back from us within one month if your article has been accepted.

2. Submit to speak at MAICON 2022, or teach an AI Academy for Marketers course.

We’re looking for authors, entrepreneurs, educators, practitioners and experts who can help make AI approachable and actionable for marketers.

The Marketing Artificial Intelligence Conference (MAICON) is scheduled for August 3 - 5, 2022 in Cleveland, Ohio. Sessions are generally 45 minutes and will be a mix of solo presentations, fireside chats and panels.

We’re particularly interested in hearing from practitioners who have piloted marketing AI applications within their companies, and are willing to share their journeys.

AI Academy for Marketers is an online education platform that helps marketers understand, pilot and scale artificial intelligence. It features on-demand courses and certifications led by marketing and AI experts. Short Courses are 30 - 60 minutes in length, broken down into multiple short, video lessons. Certification Courses are 3 - 5 hours in length. We release new content to our Academy members on a quarterly basis.

Our open call for speakers/instructors is now open for both MAICON and AI Academy for Marketers. You can apply here until Jan. 14, 2022.

3. Suggest an industry expert.

Are you an AI expert? Or, do you know someone who has valuable insights and experiences to share with our audience?

We’ve found that one of the best ways to explore topics from a wide range of viewpoints is to ask the experts who are creating and using AI.

To do this, we often turn to our database of AI experts for their opinions on specific topics for use in roundup posts, and as sources in Institute-written articles and research. We also consider these experts for podcast interviews, profile articles and speaking opportunities.

Our experts span a diverse range, but typically include authors, educators, entrepreneurs, executives and marketing practitioners.

Fill out our AI expert database form if you, or someone you know, is a fit.

The form only takes a few minutes to complete, and just asks for basic contact and bio information, and your background with AI. This helps our team match up opportunities with our experts.

4. Submit a vendor spotlight.

One of our goals is to connect our readership with smarter (i.e. AI-powered) technologies. We do this by regularly publishing tech company spotlights on our blog. If you’re interested in your company being considered, fill out this form with the standard questions we ask every Vendor Spotlight participant.

Please note that your submission does not guarantee inclusion in Marketing AI Institute content. We reserve full editorial control over which vendors are featured.

All companies that are featured in a spotlight are added to our Marketing AI Buyer’s Guide, and select companies are also included in our AI Score for Marketers assessment tool.

5. Submit a marketing AI case study.

Is your brand doing something interesting with AI in marketing? We’re always seeking examples of Applied AI to be featured in editorial content, on our Marketing AI Show Podcast and at our annual event, MAICON.

To share your story for consideration, please submit the details here. Please DO NOT include confidential information with your submission. All information submitted becomes the property of Marketing AI Institute and can be used editorially by our team.

Contact us with questions.

For questions on the above, please contact the Marketing AI Institute at editor@marketingaiinstitute.com, and we’ll be in touch. We look forward to collaborating with you. Please note that due to the volume of submissions we get in all the above categories, we cannot respond to all inquiries. We appreciate your understanding.
